For our Nation, Let's Protect Our National Herd
EmaSwati, Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) threatens our cattle, our livelihoods, and our agriculture. At Khuba Traders, we are stepping up to encourage every farmer and community to actively stop the spread of FMD and restore the health of our livestock.

Good Practices That Will Get Rid of FMD
Success depends on strict discipline and these core actions:
Control animal movement
Only move livestock with valid permits. Stop all illegal or unnecessary movement between areas and farms.
Report suspected cases immediately
Look for blisters in the mouth, lameness, excessive salivation, or sudden drop in milk. Contact your nearest veterinary officer or extension worker without delay.
Participate fully in vaccination
Ensure every animal in your herd receives the vaccine when teams reach your dip tank or community.
Strengthen biosecurity daily
Clean and disinfect vehicles, equipment, footwear, and shared tools. Limit visitors to your farm and properly quarantine any new animals.
Avoid informal livestock trading
During the control period. The health of the entire national herd must come first.
If we all follow these practices consistently, we break the chain of infection and give our cattle the best chance to thrive again.
