KHUBA TRADERS VISITS THE 2025 ESWATINI INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR

The Eswatini International Trade Fair was a vibrant showcase of innovation, entrepreneurship, and agricultural advancement. Our visit was an awesome journey through agricultural displays and service points, offering insights in the developments in farming and sustainable practices in Eswatini.
Exploring the Ministry of Agriculture Pavilion
Our first stop was the Ministry of Agriculture’s pavilion, a hub of knowledge and innovation. We visited several key stalls, including those focused on horticulture, aquaculture, and crop production. These displays highlighted a range of agricultural products and techniques, showcasing the Ministry’s commitment to empowering Emaswati farmers. Staff at the stalls provided critical guidance on planting, rearing, growing, protecting, and yielding crops and livestock. The practical assistance and resources offered were inspiring, demonstrating the government’s dedication to fostering sustainable agriculture.
Livestock at the fair
Just behind the Ministry’s pavilion, we encountered the livestock dens, a lively area filled with animals such as goats, chickens, cattle, rabbits, pigs, and sheep. Interacting the Agriculture Ministry’s staff here, they shared insights into government initiatives aimed at sustaining and improving livestock farming.

To our delight, we spotted our pre-packed products on display, specifically fertilisers, displayed for livestock solutions in growing grazing lands and providing winter feed stock. Seeing our contributions integrated into these solutions was a great moment, reinforcing our commitment to supporting Eswatini’s agricultural community.
Inkhanyeti School’s Innovative Irrigation System
On the main field, we were captivated by a remarkable display from Inkhanyeti School, invited by the Eswatini Ministry of Education & Training. The students had developed an automatic irrigation system that stood out. This system featured an intricate design that sensed soil moisture levels, automatically adjusting water flow based on whether the soil was too wet or too dry. It included audio alerts and a live display showing real-time updates and processes. This student-led innovation was a testament to the creativity and potential of Eswatini’s youth in addressing agricultural challenges.
